I read about this company on this and decided to use them to take us to our hotel in Rome rather than flag a taxi on our own. My question is should I tip the driver? I have no problem doing so but was just wondering?

We always tip a private driver. RomeCabs drivers are well worth the tip!!!

We love romecabs and have used them a few times and will use them again in the future. Our last trip was a drop off at the airport and the driver got a cart and loaded all our luggage on it for us when we got to the airport and pointed us to where we needed to go to get checked in. Very personal service and great drivers. We always end up tipping them just because they always seem to go beyond what we expect from them.

Same here. We used them to get from FCO to our apartment in Rome and it was a great experience. Our flight was over 6 hours late and they monitored our arrival time and were there waiting for us as promised. We tipped the driver and were thrilled with his service.

Last month we used Romecabs to shuttle us from Ciampino to Fiumicino. (a service that they did not list, but one they were happy to do.) They are awesome! Fantastic service; great drivers, on time, and in great autos. We were more than happy to tip our driver.

Ok, so the fee is 55 euros. What would you tip? There will be four of us. I just want to make sure he gets a fair tip.

We tip 10 euros for that journey by private transfer because of all the help the driver usually gives. If it was an ordinary taxi service we tip about 10%.

We'll tip 10E for the trip from FCO to apartment near Piazza Navona. (2 people, 1 checked bag, 2 carry-ons)
