Looking for hotel/lodging recommendation for Rome with 2 children (Ages 6 and 2) in March. I do not want to have seperate rooms.
Check venere.com for quad rooms. There are some in the city center and more by the train station. Donna
I don't know how long you will be in Rome, but you can rent apartments for as few as 3 nights. This way you would have a kitchen too, which is nice with kids. It would probably be cheaper than a quad room in a hotel too. We used www.sleepinitaly.com to book apartment "Belastrai" , a two bedroom apt near Campo dei Fiori for our upcoming trip next summer. Only 160euro per night. They were very user friendly and only charge a 10% deposit. The website and the apartment have excellent reviews.
We've stayed in the Balestrari apartment, and loved it! Great location. Another plus, especially with little ones, is having a washer. And it looks like if your dates match up, it's 135 euros a night for 4! (http://www.sleepinitaly.com/en/show-balestrari-campo_dei_fiori-roma/appartam.php?id_appartam=272)
Try Palazzo-Olivia, also in the P. Navona/Campo Dei Fiori area. www.palazzo-olivia.com. Very good location, elevator, nice people, professionally run.
