We will be in Rome for 3 days and taking a few tours. We will need to hunt down food mostly for lunches. Any suggestions from others who have been?

We enjoy visiting the Jewish Ghetto for lunch.
A favorite is Nonna Betta. They are known for their fried artichokes. For dessert we like to stop at Passticeria il Boccione. It’s the oldest bakery in the Ghetto. https://www.romeloft.com/pointofinterest/nonna-betta-kosher-restaurant/

Dining is very neighborhood dependent. Where will you be around lunch time? Near the Vatican? Near the Colosseum? Near the Borghese? Also, where are you staying as I might have some interesting dinner ideas.

Thank you. We are staying at the Relais Trevi 95 Boutique Hotel 4 Stelle nel cuore di Roma, Via del Lavatore, 95, 00187 Roma RM, Italy. We will be around the around the Piazza Novona at 2pm on Sunday (Sept 25th). And we need to find a restaurant for dinner that night as well.

We sought out Osteria da Mario recommended in Ricks book back in 2014 and fell in love. It’s a must for us now every trip.
Only a few minute walk from piazza navona: Piazza delle Coppelle 51
PS the roman chicken is my hubby’s favorite. Bucatini all’amatriciana for me
