Rome websites suck, Colosseum, Borghese, National Museum of Rome

Is anyone else having hard time accessing the webpages for major attractions in Rome.
I have not been able to access the National Museum of Rome at all for the past 2 weeks
All the other websites are hit or miss whether they will load or not
Is this a Rome IT issue?

Many websites for attractions in Rome are only accessible during Rome business hours. For example, the official website for the Borghese gallery.

On the other hand, the ticketing sites may be available 24 hours per day.

So depending on your time zone, try accessing late at night or early in the morning.

That is why the abbreviation of Italy, including the internet Top Level Domain is .IT, it's because you need to call IT.

markcw is correct. The websites don't "suck", they just aren't 'up' during hours the attractions they cover aren't open, although that might be different for citizens of Italy. Check during the hours, Rome time, that they're open, or click into their ticketing sites. Those ARE generally 'up' 24/7.

Colosseum ticketing:

Galleria Borghese ticketing:

Not sure what the ticketing site is for Museo Nazionale Romano but as suggested above, check their main website during visiting hours, Rome time.

I don't get it. Why only during business hours. These are static information websites. Is it to save money on web hosting services? Seems pretty ridiculous in 2024
