Rome weather very end of Sept - early Oct.

We are planning a multi-city/country trip that has us starting in Rome Sept. 27 to through Oct. 10th but then moving on to more 'traditional' Fall weather climates. Yes, there will be layering and, yes, there is no way to predict but wondering if any readers were in Rome around the same time-frame last year and had some insight into the weather then...still scorching hot??? gently turning to Fall weather by evening? This will be a tricky trick to pack for.

Many thanks.

Last year it was pretty temperate, days warm but not brutally hot. You'll still need some summer clothes. It's a nice time to visit.

We were there late Sept to late October 2019 for a month. The weather was definitely hot, but not scorching. I was in short sleeves or lightweight long sleeved blouses with lightweight pants or jeans all day, and added a sweater in the evenings. A few of the later evenings in October I wore a light long-sleeved wool knit top with a sweater over it. It also rained a couple of evenings but never got extremely hot or very cold. I took everything for the month in a carry-on. Great time of year to visit!

Past performance is not guarantee of future results.

It applies to investing as it does to weather.

Generally end of September/early October has mildly warm temperatures (70s to low 80s F, during the day, low/mid 60's F at night), but with the possibility of occasional rainy days (even storms).
But given the variability of the weather in early Fall, the best policy is to check the 10-day weather forecast just before going.

Hard to say. Think about the weather in Sept/Oct in NYC - it's unpredictable. Could be hot, could be temperate, could be rainy and cool

Perfect time of the year in Rome and Italy in general. Short sleeves, long sleeves and a "light" jacket at most, especially eating outside.
