Can anyone recommend a great private tour for 8 for the Vatican in October? Have looked at several different companies. Any wonderful reviews or suggestions. TIA!

We took one of their group tours which is for 16 people but they also offer private tours. We also used them for the Forum/Colosseum tour.

We have used Francesca Caruso for two different visits and have found her to be exceptional. One tour of the Sistine Chapel got us there well ahead of the mob and we were able to spend 15 minutes virtually alone before the crush of tourists arrived.
She is a Rick Steves recommended guide and has appeared on several of his programs.
Her English is impeccable as is her knowledge of all things Roman.

And we used Through Eternity Tours also for the Vatican/Sistine and Colosso for early entry small tours in April.
Both very highly recommended. At that time we had six in our group for the Sistine and four (!) at Colosso.
