Is anyone in Rome right now, or going there, that knows if the U.S. Women's team will be playing trials there? I need to know a website for information. We are arriving June 12 and depart June 19. We are staying in Florence but could take the train. Anyone?

There's a big beach volleyball tournament in Rome during your dates. More info here: http://tinyurl.com/7g6vkak I'm not an expert in beach volleyball, but I don't believe there are national teams; instead there are teams to two. There can be multiple teams from each country.

The USA women's volleyball team is ranked #1 in the world and has already qualified for the Olympics, so I doubt they would be playing at the trials in Rome. Don't know about beach volleyball. http://usavolleyball.org/news/2012/04/19/the-journey-to-london-begins-in-anaheim/47694

Thank you both, for your replies. I just thought I would take a chance at asking the question. I don't know if my daughter is as interested in beach volleyball, but it is good to hear from an informed person that the volleyball team is already qualified. Thanks again for your responses.
