Used Walks of Italy for their Pristine Sistine tour. It was fabulous.

We use Angel tours -- use young American art students -- and it was terrific.

Bob, It will depend to some extent on what type of Rome tour you're looking for? For "other recommendations", I'd highly recommend Francesca Caruso. She's incredibly knowledgeable about the history, and provides an awesome tour. For contact information, check the Guidebook. Happy travels!

Last August we used Angel Tours for Vatican and Ancient sites. Nice guides, smaller group. A guide is a good idea at the Vatican b/c you jump the line. Have fun.
