Rome to Viennna, Austria Itenerary?

I planning an anniversary/birthday trip for my wife in October. We will have roughly 15 days that I would like to travel from Rome to Vienna. Does anyone have any recommended itineraries that utilize the trains?
In Italy we want to go to Pisa, Florence, and Venice. Where else should I look?

In Austria, I want to go to Salzburg (Sound of Music tour), Hallstatt and Vienna. Any other suggested stops? Is this realistic?

Is this realistic?

No not really. Is it doable? probably but you'll spend most of your time on a train, checking in/out, getting oriented.
You say 15 days- is that 15 nights?
You have listed 7 locations- that's barely a day and a half in each location.
Rome- bare minimum 3 nights- if you fly in to Rome your first day is mostly a wash due to jet lag
Florence- 2 nights- 3 is better- Pisa can be a day trip
Venice 3 nights

You have 6 nights left (if you actually have 15 nights)
Train from Venice to Vienna is about 8 hours so there goes that day
Halstatt is a very long day trip from either Vienna or Salzburg- so you'll want to spend at least 1 night there
Vienna should have at least 3 nights
Salzburg should have at least 3 nights

3 nights in a location really means 2.5 day to sightsee

It would be a whirlwind trip, not something I'd enjoy- if you just want to check the boxes and say you've been there- well- I guess it works. YMMV

Play around a bit with rome2rio.com so you have an idea of what your transportation options are and how long each leg of train travel will actually take.
