Hello travelers!
My family of 5 will be traveling from Rome to Spello by train. We would be leaving from Termini Station in Rome. I was told we could take the train heading for Perugia in order to avoid changing trains in Foligno. Is there a direct train from Rome to Spello? I cannot find one. I would prefer not to get on a bus or make any transfers if at all possible. Thank you for any help or advice.

I am not sure why you would avoid changing in Foligno. There is a direct train at 14.28 (2.28pm) and 17.58 (5.58pm) Both Regionale Veloce. Changing trains is fairly easy unless you have a lot of luggage.

I looked at the schedule a little closer. What is the problem with changing in Foligno? Looks like Foligno is a five minute ride to Spello after the change. Not enough time to sit down. Obviously I am not familiar with that route. Nor do I see any trains changing in Perugia -- some of the choices are Orte, Assisi. I think I would pick the schedule that best fit my time needs. I understand not wanting to change trains but those choices are very limited.
