Rome to Siena by bus

Hello,
considering taking the bus rather the train from Rome -Siena. It looks better time wise, cheaper, and drops off in center Any feedback? Travel will be on a Saturday,

Many thanks

Hi Boyd, yes, that's a good idea. I took the SENA bus in the other direction and thought it was more convenient than the train, especially if you have luggage and if your lodging in Siena is in the city centre. Train from Rome to Siena requires a change. The bus departs outside Rome's Tiburtina station, easily accessed by metro. I didn't travel on a Saturday so can't say if it'll be crowded and what traffic conditions will be like, but I took the bus in high summer and there was plenty of room.

Boyd,
I took the bus to Siena on a Monday in May last year. I bought my ticket on the Saturday prior. I was surprised how filled the bus was on the day of departure even though it was a 11.00am bus.
