Rome to Positano. Positano to Lucca.

We, two couples, will be traveling from Rome to Positano on a Tuesday in June. We are wondering the best way to get there? Train, boat, combination?

Will then leave Positano for Lucca on Friday. Again, the best/quickest way to get there, please.

Take train Rome to Salerno then ferry from Salerno to Positano.
Salerno to Lucca would require two train changes and take about 6 hours
It all depends on when you leave
