We will be in Rome in May then heading over to Ovindoli to see/meet family.
Can we take a train from Rome to Ovindoli? Do we need to rent a car once in Ovindoli or can we?

For that kind of question, I look to see if there's a hotel in the destination and then see what their website says. Here's what the one for Albergo Park Hotel says: • by TRAIN from Rome Termini Station or Rome Tiburtina Station Take the Rome /Pescara line until you arrive at Avezzano Station (Arpa Bus connection for Ovindoli via Altopiano delle Rocche) or get off at the Celano/Ovindoli Station and request our Hotel transfer service from Pescara
Take the Pescara/Rome and get off at Celano/Ovindoli Station or Avezzano Station (continue as above)
