WE arrive in rome and thought we we spend 2 nites in orvieto.and visit the surrounding hill towns.. THEN, we would make a loop towards Rome and spend 2 nites somewhere else, maybe ASSISSI. if anyone has done this loop orhas suggestions to what towns to stay in or visit we certainly would appreciate any feedback. thanks

Stay in Orvieto at Casa Selita-Selita is warm and inviting, Orvieto is a great hill town and the surrounding countryside is a kick to explore. For example, Civita. On the way north, drive through Montepulciano and Pienza. Then stay in Cortona at Casa Chilenne-Jeanette makes wonderful apple cake and her breakfasts were delicious! From there you can drive to Spello and Deruta-two fabulous towns! Tell them Rick and Carla said hi !
