Rome to Naples to Florence

We would like to go to Pompeii from Rome and then take train from Naples to Florence in one day. Our cruise had stop in Naples but itinerary has changed and we are now trying to fit in visit to Pompeii during our post-cruise vacation. Traveling by train to Naples is there a place to store our luggage while we visit Pompeii? What training station would we arrive in and how long is train ride from Naples to Florence? Thanks

You can leave your luggage at the DEPOSITO BAGAGLI (luggage storage) at the NAPOLI CENTRALE station. The storage is a manned cloak room style storage (it's not self service lockers) and you will have to provide photo ID to store and retrieve luggage (anti terrorism law requires it).
The trip from ROMA TERMINI to NAPOLI CENTRALE is 70 minutes. The trip from NAPOLI CENTRALE to FIRENZE SANTA MARIA NOVELLA is under 3 hours, last fast train to Florence departs NAPOLI CENTRALE at 7:30pm.
To go from Napoli CENTRALE to Pompei-Villa dei Misteri you need to take the Circumvesuviana commuter train to Sorrento. Pompei is along that line (about 45 min from Naples)
