There was a cheaper way to get from Rome Tiburtina (NOT Termini) to Orvieto, but when I try that on Trenitalia.com, it gives me a metro ride b/n Tiburtina and Termini, then the same ol' train b/n Termini and Orvieto (ggrrrrr). According to the Trenitalia website, Tiburtina is up and running at capacity, so am I missing something, or has that train gone bye-bye?

I think that one is gone. They very recently revised some routes and did away with a few of the regional trains between Rome and Orvieto.

Dang; somebody make Ron a liar LOL! I saw that a few of the trains in the system have been dropped - some BIG ones - as of Aug 29, but I don't see any that concern me....
