Rome taxi vs Leo

Landing FCO next Tuesday morning.
Original plan was to take the Leonardo to main train station, then taxi to Trastevere (close to river).
We are two people (with one humping the bags).
Seems easier to just taxi from FCO to Trastevere AB&B directly.
Any guidance or estimated cost for this?

Thank you!

Depends exactly where in the Trastevere.

Flat rate of 55 euro to within the Aurelian walls, but be aware that a good chunk of the Trastevere is outside the walls, so even for a shorter trip, it could be more.

One option, is you could take the "other" train from the airport, the regional FL1,(8 euro each) it makes a number of stops on it's way, with one being Trastevere rail station, you could take a taxi from there.

The Leonardo express for two people is 28€. Once at the Termini Station the taxi fare depends on the meter, therefore the traffic, but I’d say it’s at least 20€, which is what I spent some years ago, so I would plan on 25€. So 28€ + 25€ is 53€. The taxi directly from the airport is 55€ flat fare, if you are in Trastevere near the Tiber. Obviously the direct trip by taxi is less than 30 min, while the train plus taxi is going to be at least one hour when everything is said and done. The train to Trastevere on the FL1 is 8€ per person. The taxi from there shouldn’t be more than 15€ or so, so you could save almost 20€ that way.

I would ask the landlord if the place is in/out of the flat fare zone. (i.e., Inside the Aurelian Walls)
