Rome taxi strike today

We just arrived in Rome via train. We arrived at Termini and were told there is a taxi strike here today. I couldn’t find out more info other than what I could find on twitter - sounds like something to do with Uber. We had a long sweaty walk to our Airbnb where the host hadn’t heard about the strike yet. Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone is on their way now. The lines for buses we passed were pretty long.

Yep, the UBER Files have been released at the worst possible time. Right when the government was trying to make new rules about taxi service approved in the Lower Chamber.

This is not a strike that's going to end tonight, cabbies seem seriously p**ed off.

People arriving by plane will be getting the bad news I guess as they arrive. We only found out when my husband asked a taxi at Termini if he was available, then he told him about the strike. I feel bad for people who have farther to go or physically unable to walk dragging their suitcases. I guess we will just do lots of walking while we are here. I don’t know anything about the Uber files but hope they can get things figured out soon.
