Is there anywhere in Rome noted for street art? I'm thinking of the chalk drawings on the sidewalk or walls, not the artists at Pizza Navona, etc. Thank you.
The only place where I ever saw a chalk drawing on a sidewalk was in Siena.
I was in Rome in October 2012 and I did not see any sidewalk chalk drawings. However, I saw street art in different areas of the city. In particular, I remember seeing Invader and many street signs altered by Clet Abraham.
If graffiti counts, it's all over the city.
I have seen street art (chalk/pastels) in various places in the Centro Storico, most often at the Pincio and around Largo Argentina. the latest was in June.
Have never seen any chalk drawings in Rome but have several times in Florence, most recently this past July. Was early evening, two nights in a row, and the drawings were beautiful!
