Rome Stay in Hotel Panda or Hotel Palamento?

Hi. In Rome we're trying to pick one of these hotels or figure out if we should fine another. Has anyone stayed in Hotel Panda or Hotel Palamento? Panda is near the Spanish steps, Parlamento is somewhat between the Trevi Founatin and Pantheon. We had wanted to stay near the Campo di fiore, but most of the places we looked were already booked for October.

Any suggestions?
Thanks!

Des, have you looked at the tripadvisor.com, and booking.com to see if these hotels were reviewed?

If they have reviews in TA you can send a personal messsage to the reviewer for more info.

Hey! I have reservations for Hotel Panda tomorrow (for four nights)! I will be sure to log back on sometime in the next few days and give you my impression of the hotel.

Thanks! I'd love to hear your thoughts - the place seems too good to be true.

Ok!! I, too, thought it seemed too good to be true (& for that reason felt VERY apprehensive about staying there), but I am pleased to inform you that it is not too good to be true!!! After 2 weeks of staying at Ricks recommended hotels, I will say that it lacks the personality or unique charm that many of his recommendations embody. However, the location is INSANE (its actually literally next door to one of the restaurants Rick recommends, Fiacherria or something). My room is clean & cute, with vaulted ceilings & crown molding. There is absolutely no view, & hardly a window, but the room doesnt seem to get too hot & there is this little corner of my room with a sink & mirror that is made of some decorative stone or something. The people at the desk have been hit & miss with speaking english, but the boy who works at night helped me out with directions & even let me hop behind the desk and check my email! For 78 euro a night (my rate at least), + location, I would def. recommend!

Also, I took some pictures of my room. I wont be arriving home for another 10 days or so, but after that if you send me a private message I would be glad to email them to you.

PS: The bathrooms are tiny, but super clean. And the shower has always been hot, which is important!
