So the Roma v AC Milan match I will attend this Sunday was supposed to kick off at 4pm. They just moved it to 8:45pm, much to my chagrin. I am staying quite far away in the Garbatella neighborhood. Will I have any options besides a taxi? Uber Black is even more expensive than a taxi, right? What should I expect to pay for either? If anyone has actual post-match Rome taxi experience to share, you will be my hero. I've never taken a taxi in Rome. so hoping for the best.

You can take the bus 280 to the Ostiense station. I don't know where you are staying at the Garbatella (which is a large neighborhood), but it is not far to walk from Ostiense.
Or you can take the 32 to Ottaviano, then the Metro A and then Metro B to Piramide (also near Ostiense).
Or you can take the 2 tramway (across the river from Foro Italico) to Flaminio Metro, then Metro A and Metro B.
There are also more solutions, however the taxi is the most convenient, if you don't mind the 35-40€ fare (or more if after 10pm)
