Rome: special restaurant for my 50th?

Hi All,
I am turning the big 5-0 in Rome next month.
Would love any suggestions as to places you have dined in and would recommend for a special occasion. Not necessarily super fancy - or Michelin star - will be with a teen.

Hoping to find something that is not a huge tourist destination.

Thank You!

This is a good list of traditional Roman cuisine:

They are traditional and mostly not fancy at all.

However if you are looking for fine dining for you b-day you can take a look at any of these. Google to see their menu and everything else. Not the cheapest, but known for their fine dining:

Il Pagliaccio
Moma
Mirabelle
All’Oro
Zia Restaurant

Mirabelle has a great view from the terrace, although when you go it might be too cold to eat outside.

Look at Imago in the Hotel Hassler. We went there for a celebration once.

Our favorite place is Il Piccolo Vicolo, which is next to Smeraldo Hotel. The food is wonderful, their bartender is so creative, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It has a pretty interior as well. Check it out!
