Rome sightseeing to Sorrento

We are flying into FCO and landing around 730AM. We would like to sightsee a little in Rome before traveling to our final destination of Sorrento later that day. What are your tips for luggage storage and travel from said storage to Sorrento? Any and all advice is appreciated!

Rome's Termini train station has luggage storage. You could take the train there from FCO, store your bags while sightseeing, then take the train from there to Naples, etc. (one tip: baggage storage in Italian train stations requires showing your passport).
