Rome's FCO

We are flying into Rome's FCO from the US on different airlines which will get into FCO at about the same time. Where is a good place to meet inside the airport? Thanks.

Hi GMS,
If memory serves, you could meet at the baggage claim area. That area is not too exciting, 2 money changing booths and I don't remember there being seating, depending upon when everyone will actually be meeting up. Or just after the baggage claim area I remember seeing bench seating, some little shops (pizza place and tabacchi), TI electronic stand and a TI booth. Sorry, for being there last month, I don't have anything more specific! My bad!

Yeah, probably baggage claim would work fine. I can't remember too much about the baggage claim area either! I would want to get to baggage claim ASAP after landing so nobody takes off with your luggage. But I'd prearrange something, and then just call (or text) each other to keep tabs on where everyone is and ETAs in case of a delayed flight. Make sure your cell phones are "international-ready"; call your provider to check on that or to set it up. (that is, of course, after the flight has landed, as we all know we're supposed to keep phones off until we reach the gate and the pilot has turned off the seatbelt sign) ;)

If you are planning to take the train (Leonardo Express) into the city, you might consider meeting on the train platform at the airport. It is easy to find.

If you both are coming from the States, most inbound flights from the US arrive in Terminal C (or Satellite C). If so, both of you will get luggage through Arrivals in Terminal C . But because Terminal C is being renovated - EVERYONE EXITS through the B Terminal Arrivals.

Once you get your luggage here, you will exit through frosted, sliding glass doors in the public Terminal - B Arrivals - where all the limo drivers and folks waiting hang out. On your immediate LEFT as you exit the doors is a meeting spot - in fact on the pole it says MEETING SPOT. This is a good place to wait. Further to your LEFT is a little cafe - which also works for you!
