We will be in Rome from the 20th-25th and I see Rome's birthday is on the 21st. I've read that there are fireworks, parades, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions on where the most fun activities will take place? It's our first trip to Rome so I'd love to experience this the best way possible. Any and all suggestions are welcome! Thanks!
Jeremy,
I will be there April 20 - 23. Here is the information that Gail sent me about the celebration.
The info. said the best viewing is around the hills near Forum , Avertine ? area. There is supposed to be Roman , gladiator's fighting at the Forum , bands playing at Piazza Campidoglio
Have a great trip!! Kathy
I did some more searching on Google, " pictures from last year's Birthday Party which are amazing ", Rome in all it's glory ! The weekend after the 21 a BIG party , parades , Colosseum open for free , Forum has the "Games " , fireworks , reenacting of Rome's heyday.. The Sat and Sun closest to the 21th the website said.
