On our 7th trip to Rome, I was determined to see the aquaducts. We didn't try the Archeobus, having tried unsuccessfully twice before and set out to walk, following Rick's directions in the Rome 2009 book. We reached the Aqua Santa, where the road narrowed and there was no safe way to continue walking. We tried asking for directions at the Aqua Santa, but our limited Italian was met by limited English from a gentleman who didn't seem to know what the Aquaduct Park was. Has anyone successfully walked this?

In doing trip research, I came across this website and info. Haven't tried it, but it seems reasonable. http://www.roninrome.com/2009/05/06/aqueduct-park-in-rome/
If you read through a lot in "To The Boot" section you will find that roninrome is the "go to guy" for Italy on this forum. A lot of good responses about him.
We used Ron on 7/8 and he was WONDERFUL!! He's a great guy ( as much as one can discern in 8-9 hours), very personable, very knowledgable and took the time to try to personalize his information to each of our particular interests. Contact him now though as he is pretty well booked and he said somethng about taking a couple weeks off in August.
Hope you get him. He definietly made our trip a better experience.
Happy Travels!
