We will be spending 5 nights at the Pantheon Iconic Rome Hotel in mid-September. Wondering if anyone has had any recent history with restaurants in the general vicinity they would be willing to recommend.?
One of my favorites would be Armando Al Pantheon!
Thanks, I have it on my list so I will add a "check mark".
Are "fixed price" options common at Rome restaurants?
We had a tasty lunch at Enoteca Corsi a few years back. Just a couple blocks' walk from the Pantheon; at Via del Gesù, 88.
Great simple fare (spaghetti w/clams, stuffed eggplant) served by nice people. Only about seventy bottles of wine to choose from.
Osteria del Sostegno is in a little alley close to the Pantheon. Had a very nice dinner there in 2019. Honestly, the best Cacio e Pepe in Rome!
Another favorite - for great pasta and near the Pantheon - would be Da Gino al Parlamento at Vicolo Rosini 4, 00186 Rome.
I second Armando Al Pantheon. We sat outside, but I wish we had sat inside! So warm feeling and fun.
Third for Armando. Make reservations as far in advance as you can-essential! Dine late and you’ll be with the Romans! The atmosphere and the food improves!
Thanks for this list! We’re staying in the Pantheon area and this is very helpful. Armando al Pantheon only has one time slot available for the night we are eating there in September-book early!
Armando’s makes the list. They have on-line reservations but do want a credit card. No problem for an 8:00 reservation on a Monday (closed Sundays). Of course, we are talking mid-September - but isn’t it fun to be planning again!
