Rome Restaurant for my 70th birthday.

We will be in Rome late February for a family birthday celebration. Can you recommend a special restaurant that serves both meat and fish that won't cost more than 75eu per person. Maybe Campo/Navonna area?

Armando Al Pantheon.
Typical Roman.
You won't spend more than 50€ pp.
For fish try Ristorante Mare, on via Ripetta (piazza del popolo).
Fish is not a Roman specialty, though. Save that for Naples area or some other coastal town.

Personal favorite, away from the tourist area, is Osteria 44, not far from the American Embassy in a quiet neighborhood. Sergio serves traditional cuisine with some updates and great seafood as well as meat! He speaks perfect English and will help your celebration be successful. You can email him from the website and make arrangements. We usually spend about €100-120 for two of us, with a bottle of wine, 1 antipasti, a shared primo, 2 secondi and dessert. Or, around the corner is the best gelato in Rome, I kid you not.

You can easily take a taxi to 44 for about €10-12, or the bus will drop you off on Via XX Settembre.

I've been to other seafood restaurants, but not conveniently located near the historical center. Most restaurants in Rome will have options for non meat eaters. Armando has a pasta Al baccala' and also many pasta dishes or even secondi (main courses) with no meat. Seafood restaurants, such as the one I gave you, will be hard on the wallet.
