help!!! I am looking for the name of the restaurant, which is located on top of a 12/13th century church, which was built on top of a 4/5th century church. I believe it is somewhere around the general area of the Colosseum, maybe not that close to it. Thank you for any help that you can provide. Bob L.
Google maps is a great tool. Type in Colosseum, Rome Italy. When the map comes up go to the right top side of the screen and click on Satellite. When the image comes up click on the arrow which is pointing at the Colosseum. IN the box that appears click on the search nearby option. Type in restaurants. On the left side of the screen you'll get names of restaurants, keep zooming into the map and you'll get more.
Click on each alphabetized bubble. Might be able to find it this way, especially if you recognize the building. Or maybe another helpline poster will know exactly what restaurant you are talking about.
My bad! Thank you for your input. The restaurant I asked about is actually located over the site of Caesar's assassination. I believe it is called Costanza's. The place I originally inquired about (church on top of church) is located in some place called San Clemente. Has anyone dined at Costanza's?
There are 94 reviews of Hostaria Costanza on Trip Advisor, in case you don't get a response here.
Bob, I thought you were describing San Clemente (worth a visit). Several foodies I know have dined at Costanza's and loved it.
