I am looking to rent an apartment in the Pantheon area
of Rome. Does anyone know anything about Studio Fori
Real Estate Agency or Rentalinrome.com. I am looking
for a reputable agency to deal with.
Hi Mary,
I used the guestinitaly website last year. We rented an apartment for 3 days. My friend used the same company and rented for 1 month. We contacted the gentleman by email and met him at a prearranged time outside the bulding our apartment was in. We had his cell phone number as well in case we were late. We paid him and received a tour of the apartment and instructions on how to use all the appliances. He was very pleasant and had a good command of the english language. We will be using them again this year. They rent apartments all over the city. They have pictures of most of the apartments on their website.

We've used RentalinRome with no problems. They have someone meet you at your apartment to show you around. Make sure the company knows you want that person to tell you about grocery shopping, etc in the area. Prices were very reasonable.
have a look at www.slowtrav.com at the rental reviews
we are using realrome due to very positive reviews and dealings with the owner
On my second visit to Rome, I used vacanzeromane.com and was pleased with my apartment near the Colosseum. However, they required a 50% deposit upon reservation and the remainder in cash Euro upon arrival. Through Rick's book, I found cross-pollinate.com, run by an American couple, and listing apartments/B&Bs in Rome, Florence and Venice, I believe. They require only a 10Euro/night deposit and have a more lenient cancellation policy.
Check into VRBO.com. We found a great unit for a very reasonable price and will there the beginning of June. VRBO has units alll over the world. We have never been disapointed with any that we have rented.
