Rome Public Transit Pass

Can a 3 day (4 day) Rome Public Transit Pass be purchased at the Civitavecchia train station, or anywhere else in Civitavecchia between the cruise port and the train station? As noted elsewhere, we'll be in the city 3 days (actually 4 counting the morning trip to Fiumicino). We'll take the train to Termini, then use trams, buses, and the Metro for moving around the city. We will also use the train to Ostia Antica one day. Does the Rome transit pass include this trip?

I don't have an answer on pass sales in Civitavecchia but wouldn't think it very useful anyway as it wouldn't cover transit journeys from there. Buy the pass at Termini.

Oh, and it doesn't cover transport to Fiumicino either. It will cover you for Ostia Antica. The easiest way to see how far out of the center you can travel on the metro or urban trains on the pass is to look at a map. The ATAC site is a stinker so this map likely will not come up for you but let's try....

If not, try this one:

Stations marked in RED are the last on their respective lines you can travel to fully covered by a BIT ticket or standard pass. If you follow the Roma-Lido urban train line as it stretches south, you'll notice that not a single station on that line is marked in RED so you can go all the way to Ostia Antica and to the end of that line on a pass or BIT ticket. However the FL1 line that goes towards Fiumicino? Fiera di Roma station is marked in RED so anything beyond that point isn't covered by a BIT ticket/pass. Make sense?

Editing to add: I see by a previous post that you will be staying near the Repubblica metro station? You might want to take notice of this VERY recent news, although we'll hope the issue is resolved by the time of your trip. If not, it's not a big deal. The metro serves a fairly limited part of the city anyway so you'll very likely be using it far less than you think you will, and you can always just walk to the next open stop.
