Going to Italy for the first time. Guides recommended to me by another guide not available on my dates. Terresa Sacchi Lodispoto, Patrizia Sfligiotti, Francesca Barberini, Livia Galante, Vannella Carelli Palombi< Olivia Ercoli. None of these guides were easy to obtain TA reviews. Did anybody tour with them? Also, Christina Giannicchi who is unavailable to guide for me, but employs guides who got good reviews on Trip Advisor. Same for Massimiliano Canneto. Thank you.

We really enjoyed two half-day tours with Sonia Tavoletta, mentioned above. She’s a fine guide!
Valerie, could you tell me the general itineraries of the tours Sonia led for you? I’ve heard rave reviews of her Vatican tours, but that’s not something we want to revisit on our upcoming tour. I’d love to hear who (in addition to Francesca, who is proving hard to reach this time around—we were scheduled to tour with her in 2020) does exceptionally good tours of the colosseum, ancient sites, neighborhood Rome, etc.
Thanks!
I've only used then for group tours and all were excellent. But Through Eternity also offers private tours. https://www.througheternity.com/en/rome-tours/private-tours/
I found them through the RS guide a few years ago.
@Ruth - Here is the review thread I started after we toured with her. It should give you an idea.
Hi!
Is anyone still using or recommending Massimilano Canneto (vaticanmax) from RS guidebook? Looking for full day tour with lots of history knowledge.
Thank you!
