Rome & Positano

I'm going from Rome to Positano to Sicily. I'd like to see Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi Coast and the archeological museum in Naples (if it makes sense). After reading your input I thought maybe I should DAY 1 - take a train from Rome to Naples. Take a side trip to see the museum then on to Positano late afternoon. DAY 2 - Check out Positano DAY 3 - Capri DAY 4 - visit Amalfi Coast DAY 5 - Early trip to see Pompeii then take a 5:30 pm flight to Catonia Sicily. I was originally staying the night in Naples but a freind said skip that and spend more time in Catonia. I would appreciate your thoughts.

I would choose Napoli over Catania. Then you could see the archeological museum while in Napoli instead of as a side trip.

Of course, that depends on why you are going to Catania and how much time you plan to spend there.
