Rome, Piazza Navona

Can anyone suggest a reasonable B&B or two bedroom, 2 bathroom condo near the Piazza Navona?

Thank you,
Jean

Hi Jean,

I've not stayed in the Piazza Navona area.

In order to get better informed responses, could you supply what dates/month you are going? The time of year will reflect your budget.

While waiting for some to reply with their experiences, maybe look on Trip Advisor - narrow down about 10, from there 5 and so on until you come close to your specifications. Also, browse booking.com to get more ideas, rates, reviews.

Compare prices. Sometimes booking sites will charge a bit more money. Booking direct with a hotel or B&B could get you a more reasonable price.

For example: A quick search on Trip Advisor gave me https://www.tripadvisor.com/HotelsNear-g187791-d190121-Piazza_Navona-Rome_Lazio.html

Since I don't know your style, I "checked" budget, breakfast, free cancellation" to get some choices/offers. Of course, you'll customize to your own likes/dislikes and prices. Keep in mind, some/most may not have lifts - only stairs if that's a consideration.

This one below - Trevi - only as an example, is on the third floor; but it looks beautiful and got good reviews. It's on the higher side of price but you get a lot of amenities. That one is about 5-7 minutes to get to Navona.

And, Piazza Navona will be more expensive. Again, it depends on the time of year you plan to visit.

I don't think your budget is sufficient for this location in summer. Do you need A/C? We stayed at the Hotel Navona, nearby. Fully renovated building.

Jean, I'll also suggest searching on www.booking.com. You'll be able to filter by date, price, amenities, review scores, location, etc so can drill down quickly to what you're looking for. I've used this website quite a lot and it has worked very well for us.

A note about star ratings: those have nothing to do with the quality of the accommodation, just the amount to amenities it has. A clean, comfortable 2 or 3-star accommodation without a lot of extras can trump a grubby 4-star with noise issues.

Piazza Naviba is the chic place to be...much like Venice’s San Marco. You’ll need a healthy budget if you want someplace decent. Campo dei Fiori is close by.

So $240 total? Easy for an Airbnb. A quick search returned plenty. Unfortunately I can’t link to Airbnb here - but just filter by 2 bed, 2 bath, price, and other important things to you (air conditioning, WiFi, whatever you require).

2 hotel rooms for $120 each in that area is possible, but low. You will have more luck with a 2 bedroom apartment.

Hi Jean,

An option that you can investigate is Albergo del Senato (faces the Pantheon). It may be a bit over your budget, but I thought I would throw this into the mix as something you could consider. Here is the url:https://www.albergodelsenato.it/.

What I enjoyed about the hotel is the location and service. We stayed there last June with two friends and our college-aged girls. I originally looked for less expensive places, but decided to splurge a bit in Rome and was glad. The best rooms face the Pantheon on an upper floor. At night it is magically to see this ancient structure in the moonlight. The rooms are spacious and the rate comes with a delicious cooked breakfast. They have a rooftop bar that overlooks the Pantheon and is a great place to relax at sunset.

The service there is exceptional. Not only did they do the normal hotel stuff: book reservations, help us with our site seeing plans, but they went above and beyond when my airline cancelled our flights at the last minute. I had to quickly rebook, getting a flight earlier than anticipated and they hotel made sure we had transport and a nice meal as we rushed for our flight.

Have a great trip to Rome,
Sandy
