Is June 2nd Republic Day in Italy, with a military parade through central Rome? If so, I assume that there will be many closures that day? What about the trattorias, and cafes, as well as all the tourist sights? Does anyone have any information, or experience with this holiday in Rome?

I just checked and the Colosseum & Roman Forum Area is not open until 1:30PM on June 2nd. I am glad I checked since I was planning on visiting those sights that day but now will go later in the daye
