We will be in Rome near a week or so before Christmas. I understand that Rome is probably not the best place to experience olive oil producers and tastings. But I was wondering if there is a good place within the city where we can find good olive oil. We are also interested in a tour of an olive press. Any recommendations??
You might try goggling it. We have spent a lot of time in Rome and have never seen anything other than typical wine and olive oil shops. I would think that production facility would be very close to where the olives are grown and not in the city. Obviously, if you were in the Tuscany area, your chances would be much better.
