Has anyone done a night tour of Rome ? We'll be there in august so thought it might alleviate some of the crowds and heat, but maybe harder to see at night? Do you have any recommendations of a particular guide? Thanks

Absolutely recommend a night tour....we did one with Walks of Italy last October (Coliseum) and loved it.

A few years ago, a conference colleague wanted to see the monuments at night. I hired a taxi driver, told him where we wanted to go, and for about 90 minutes he drove us to everyplace we wanted to see, and some of his favorites. We had agreed on €45 but tipped a bit more.
