We're planning a month in Rome this fall and would like to stay in a non-tourist neighborhood. Quartiere Trieste has popped up on our radar. Has anyone recently visited that area? Your thoughts re: restaurants, bars, groceries, walkability? It looks to be four or five metro stops from Termini, making the occasional daytrip pretty easy.
I have not stayed in that neighborhood. But I had saved the following posts for future visits.
