Hello! I am attempting to plan a museum day in Rome, specifically touring the Borghese Gallery (not the gardens), the Capitoline Museums, and the Roman National Museum (Palazzo Massimo and The Baths of Diocletian). I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on how much time I should allot to each of these main sites. Thanks in advance!

The Borghese only allows 2 hour max visits- you must book timed entry in advance

Are you intending to visit all these museums on the same day? In my opinion that will be difficult, overwhelming and not enjoyable (and I have been to them all). As noted, the Borghese Gallery allows two hours, and you must also be there 15-30 minutes in advance for screening. Even if you allow two hours per museum, which is probably about right, you will need to transit between them. Borghese Gallery is not close to Palazzo Massimo and and Baths of Diocletian, which are within walking distance of each other, near Termini, and the Capitoline is adjacent to Piazza Venezia, different part of town. I suggest two museums per day, and you must have timed tickets to the Borghese Gallery. These are all worth visiting, and the Capitoline especially is often overlooked.
