Rome museum ticket woes

Hi, we will be in Rome in November and I am trying to get museum tickets in advance. I tried Coopculture.it for Colosseum/forum tickets but had no luck and then discovered they apparently no longer sell Colosseum tickets. Capitoline Museum shows no dates past Oct 22--I suppose they release their November dates later but I'm not sure when. With the National Museum, we've made several tries through museonazionale.beniculturi.it but we'll get all the way through having Capital One send us our top secret one time six digit code (and that's a nightmare in and of itself) and then the website says the authorization is refused. We called Capital One and they said no charges had come through that day. At this point, I'm wondering if I should just try to book through another company such as Viator. Does anyone have any advice?
Thanks! I appreciate your help!

Sorry for your problems. The Colosseum has a new system which just started this year.
Please note that Viator is a third party broker, and often sells tickets before they actually have them, resulting in possible cancellation at the last minute.
I'll do a Search here and hopefully find some helpful info. Good luck.

I can't imagine you need to buy Capitoline Museum and National Museum tickets in advance. I went to the Capitoline and one or two branches of the National Museum in March 2023 and was practically the only one in the buildings.

My policy is to buy advance tickets only for places that sell out or are reported to have significant ticket lines. Sightseeing tickets are rarely refundable, and I don't want to be stuck with tickets I cannot use if my trip somehow gets postponed.

I can confirm what acraven said. Capitoline Museum and National Museum are walk up and buy your tickets, there are never more than a few people in line. Both very good choices too.
