Any recommandations on which museum pass to get for Rome? I plan to go to the Borghese Gallery (I know I still need to make reservations), Capitoline, Domas Romane, Vatican, perhaps the National Museum, maybe Coliseum (been there, done that, but my travel companion hasn't). There are several different companies I have found online and I can't figure out if it's better to just pay as we go. We'll be in Rome for five days in late October. Thanks.
Check out the romapass. It's 30 euros but you get free entry into the first two sites and then all others are at the discounted rate. It's a three day pass that includes all public transport (except to and from the airport). The romapass does NOT include the Vatican. For that just book tickets or a tour at the official site. http://www.romapass.it/?l=en Donna
The Romapass is about 30 euro, I think; Donna's description is accurate. The pass does not cover any churches or church-related museums (all of these are under the direction of the Vatican). Note that the National Museum has several locations.
