I am planning another trip to Italy this year the same time I went last year. I was on the Amalfi Coast last year on May 1st(unfortunately awful weather) therefore we didn't have to deal with closures of museums or anything for the Holiday. This Year I am planning to be in Rome for May 1st and am trying to find out what will be open or not. I've tried to scour information online regarding different museums and churches schedules but keep finding conflicting information some saying something is open and others saying it isn't(such as the Borghese Gallery), also it seems to be most articles on this forum over the topic are 10 years old and out dated. I've been to Rome before and have done all of Rick Steve's audio walking tours but wouldn't mind doing them again on the 1st if there are no better options. I am aware it is the Jubilee year in Rome and that on the 1st it will be even more busy than usual but trying to see what my options are.
