My husband will be skiing in Austria and then traveling through Rome to Sicily in March. Can you leave luggage at the airport in Rome or can you send luggage home at the airport? Thanks, we do not want to carry a bunch of ski clothes all around Sicily..

You might ask your trans-Atlantic airline about shipping "unaccompanied luggage," but I'm not sure they do this much any more.
