Rome Light Show Recommendation

Hi,

I'd like to see a light show but can't decide between Forum of Augustus, Form of Cesar, or Giudizio Universale. Which one did you like and why? Thank you.

I am not familiar with the third one you list, but the other two were educational, interesting, and entertaining. If I had to pick one, I would pick Caesar’s Forum as you can only go into that forum on this tour (AFAIK) and for Augustus’ Forum you sit on bleachers. You can do both in one night, though, at a discount as I recall.

Editing to add the link: Viaggio nei Fori

I would really like to know this as well. I had heard that the colosseum also does nighttime shows with gladiators. But I can't find that either. Looking forward to hearing peoples insights for you (and me. :) )

Argh, I had forgotten about this!

I am now looking to do this as well, but I can't seem to make the website work! Anybody have any ideas? I am trying to click on the dates and nothing is happening...... (now I go to try all different things to make this stupid site work)

Katherine, I have been watching it for ages - it is not open yet I think. I saw a post on TripAdvisor from a past year saying that tickets were available mid-March, so hopefully they are coming soon (assuming that it is not actually down).

Thank you for asking the question! I'm also waiting for the website to open for reservation.

Oh great! Thanks! Now to decide if we need to do only one or both....

Do you think it’s necessary to buy tickets ahead of time? Or do you think they would be available the day of? Thanks.

If you go early in the day, it might be possible to book at the site. Or book online the day before when your plans solidify. In summer, I would not walk up minutes before the show and expect to be successful, but maybe that’s just me. If something is important to us, we make sure we have entry set up.

For the day/time we were looking for, one of them had 200 (or so) tickets available, and the other had 39....so I would just keep an eye on the ticket availability if you didn't want to purchase so far in advance....
