My husband is in Afghanistan as civilian contractor. He has R & R in July and I would appreciate suggestions for reasonable but nice (private bath) accommodations in Rome with good location. Hotel or B & B okay. Thank you so much.

First you need to define reasonable and good location. There are thousands of rooms available in Rome in a wide range of prices and locations. We always use the area south of Termini -- some don't like it. All the hotels we have ever used in Rome had private baths. But if looking for $50/night room then that is a different story.

For Rome in July you'll want a room with AC. Don't assume that it's like here where all hotels have AC--double check.

http://www.hotelforte.com/en/index.htm - I can strongly recommend it!! My freinds Emanuel and Emanuella operate the front desk and The Hotel is directly at The Spanish steps and very close to The Trevi Fountain, The Via Veneto, and The Roman Forum.
Guarantee you would love the Hotel as well as the location!!
