Here is my plan so far for Rome. Monday (we arrive by train around 9 am) Rick's Heart of Rome Walk Tuesday Vatican Wednesday Ancient Rome Thurdsay National Museum of Rome Baths of Diocletian Rick's Dolce Vita Stroll Friday Borghese San Giovanni in Laterano Santa Maria Maggiore
San Clemente This is all based pretty much on the suggestions in Rick's Rome book. My question is where can we best fit in the Catacombs, the Protestant Cemetery, and Santa Maria della Vittoria?

Have you looked at your Thursday, Friday and "extra" locations on the map? The Borghese jumps out at me on Friday as not being very near the others. You could combine Borghese with the Catacombs of Priscilla (by cab) as one possibility.

San Giovanni in Laterano Santa Maria Maggiore
San Clemente are all near the colosseum and should be included on that day. You can visit the Borghese gallery on the same day you see the Baths of Diocletian as they are just up the street from each other. Santa Maria della Vittoria is right next to the Baths. Which catacombs do you mean? Donna

Hmm. All of those days come straight from Rick's Rome book. I'll have to look at things more closely. I can't make reservations for either the Borghese or the Vatican Museums yet so I still have time. We haven't decided which catacombs we want to visit yet. I am open to suggestions.
