You are kind of all over the place. Do you have a map of Rome?
Plan your sightseeing by grouping things together

Day 2 is very full.
Actually so is Day 1

How will you get out to Appian way?

RS Heart of Rome walk ends at P Popolo
Trastevere is pretty far from Piazza del Popolo!
I'd want to visit Campo DeFiori in the am when market is active, there also visit in the evening for the nightlife

Day 3 do you intend to also visit St Peter's? If not I think you could do Jewish Ghetto and Trastevere this am- then head to Vatican

Other sights worth a visit
Borghese- you need reservation
Capitoline Museum

Day 1 Rick has recorded audio tours for Trastevere and the Ghetto - only a bridge over the Tiber separates them. Start with the Ghetto - takes about 1/2 hour plus time if you visit the synagogue. Then do the Trastevere walk. The audio runs about 45 minutes but you'll want longer. Even if you zip through, you'll need time to walk between stops. Don't forget to download the pdf maps. It's about 1/2 hour walk (per google) from the end of the "heart" walk at the Spanish Steps to the Ghetto. . . . or a 10 minute walk from the steps to Piazza del Popolo. From there, it's 30 minute walk to the Ghetto. As far as time, you could probably do it all with time to spare for a mid-morning break and lunch but it is a lot of walking and standing.

Day 2 Is that a guided tour? If so, no problem.

Day 3 Depends on what interests you. Maybe you can find a morning food tour. Book a morning visit to the Borghese Galleries. A quick 1/2 day trip to Ostia Antica might be doable.

Borghese Galleria, in my opinion, is not to be missed because the Bernini works are astoundingly beautiful.. But they only let 200 people in at a time - and you must have a reservation. You didn't say when you're going, but get tickets as soon as possible (they release them a month or two out.
