Hi there everybody-
I'm looking for recommendations for interesting/cool dinner restaurants in the Spanish Steps vicinity for my family.
Arty? Music? Notable ambiance? Good service, A/C, reservations preferred etc. -- Grazie!
We dined well here https://ristorantenino.it/home-english/ It’s a Tuscan restaurant with some Roman dishes. White tablecloth, reservations. No shorts, flip flops, tee shirts.
We had a fabulous meal at L'Antica Enoteca which was about a five or six minute walk from The Spanish Steps. They take reservations I believe, but we just walked in since we did a late lunch. We had great service and loved the ambiance. If there wasn't a threat of rain, we would have ate outside which looked quite charming.
Most restaurants in that area are touristy (=high price/quality ratio). In terms of interesting, really close to the Spanish Steps, I've been to Ristorante Alla Rampa a couple of times. The food is decent for the price, nice ambiance (the interior decor resembles a picturesque Roman piazza). I'm sure your family will enjoy the ambiance. Obviously if you want cheaper prices, you need to stay away from the luxury of Piazza di Spagna and Via De' Condotti. Even the McDonald's next door looks like something inside the Caesar's Palace in Vegas.
