Rome in March

Is it advisable to buy tickets online ahead of time for Vatican Museum and the Colosseum visits in March, or will it be just as easy to buy them at the sites?

If you plan to see the Vatican museums in the morning I would pre-purchase tickets. If you are going in the afternoon I would just show up. The lines are short or non-existent in the afternoons most days. Just buy your colosseum ticket at the palatine hill office. Donna

The other suggestion is buy the museum pass so that you can bypass most of the lines -- cannot by pass security line which is the big hangup at the Vatican Museum.
