Rome Hotels "Linens Not Available"

Have been looking to book hotel(s) for next trip to Rome at the end of November 2020 and have noticed in the room descriptions for numerous hotels "Linens not available". I have never noticed this before. Has anyone else noticed this? Any idea what this means? Thanks for your comments.

Michael, one of the most basic, foundational, beginner, simple, tips in RS's books and other media is that you should deal directly with hotels whenever possible. Can you paste the url and/or the text from a hotel's website that says "linens not available"? I've never seen this.

Third-party booking agencies and their websites are handy for certain kinds of comparisons and other info, but they are confusing and complicating for making your plans.

They are simply addressing the common practice of not provide a top sheet as is common in the US. Sometimes a little meaning is lost in the translation.

Based on previous threads, and to help out others that may stumble on this, I bet if Michael were to post links to what he is seeing, it is probably an Expedia link or other Hotel booking site. Likely if you go to the Hotels own site, no mention is made of bedding. The booking sites tend to try standardize their listings, checking or unchecking any number of amenities, and apparently the style of bedding seems to be an issue with some travelers. I agree their wording is confusing.
